A bit of history: Shofar as crime

Yes, we blow shofar at the Kotel now, but try to do it just a bit further - on the Temple Mount, and you will hear exactly the same arguments: it might offend the arabs...
Only now it is the Israeli army/police instead of the British that will chase you if you try to blow the shofar there.
